Pixel Textinator
A typesetter for pixel fonts.
Okay, imaginary situation time: you like pixel fonts, you like OpenType ligatures. You suck at vector work. Your solution? Maybe something like PTATOR:
It's pretty limited, and extremely slow, but it lets you scratch that itch; the desire to ooze out nifty little calligraphic ligatures and not gush time into a glyph outline. At least, I thought it was cool. But I'm a little obsessive about ligatures, you see. For the confused, the words in the screenshot are "vache", "king", "mysticism", "æsthetics", "beed", and "foxy lorraine". The font in the screenshot has 199 characters, including 96 or so for ASCII. (Most importantly, though, it lets you set leading and trailing edges, which most pixel font systems don't!)
