What I have done with the venerable Standard Galactic Alphabet.

In addition to what you see here, I also worked on something called the GSO, which was a collection of writing systems (sort of like Omniglot except mostly just for my own fictional works.) All of the old Denizok ones made it in, but there were also several others like old SGA extensions that are otherwise forgotten, but had some impact on later ideas. A good dozen or two dozen small writing system experiments have been made and forgotten in later eras, including one attempt to make a syllabary out of phonemic glyphs by following the principles of protein folding—essentially, connection tab A goes into connection slot B. These will probably never appear here because they're more trouble than they're worth, though I have the papers for all of them.
